This discussion will be going into detail on both of these specimens. It also will ask you which aspects of these creatures would go into the Pipeworks Godzilla 4 game.
Differences

| Gino has larger teeth than Zilla. |
- Gino has a small amount of teeth but they are a decent size. Zilla has many small needle-like teeth.
- Gino has four main fingers and one small "dewclaw" where his pinky would be, while Zilla has just four fingers similar to ToonZilla.
- They have slightly different stances. Gino is completely horizontal while Zilla stands partially upright.
- The slightest difference is the dewlap on their necks because they are nearly identical except Gino has a slightly larger one.
- The last one is size.

So now onto the questions.
- Which teeth would you want the character to have?
- Which stance?
- Which size?(60, 90, or somewhere in between)
- How many fingers?
- What amount of fingers would you want?
- Would you want him to breathe fire or have hurricane breath?

My opinion.
ReplyDelete1. Probably the bigger teeth.
2. I prefer a horizontal stance.
3. Then 90 meters or in something in between.
4. I think five fingers is unique but probably for gameplay four would be simpler.
5. Then probably atomic fire similar to the cartoon Zilla.
My favorite aspect of Zilla is that I haven't seen him since 2004. I wouldn't mind if it stayed that way. In fact, I'd prefer it.
ReplyDeleteSay what you will about the GINO/Zilla character but the send off that he got in Final Wars was not the one he deserved. Here's how Godzilla: Final Wars SHOULD have ended:
ReplyDeleteAfter his fight with Ghidrah, Godzilla is weakened but still has some spirit left in him. Suddenly, GINO erupts out of Tokyo Bay, bellowing at Godzilla, challenging his supremacy. Since Godzilla is weakened, the battle of monster vs animal is more evenly matched. GINO gives Godzilla a run for his money, but in the end is defeated after a lengthy battle that destroys whatever is left of Tokyo. Godzilla and Minya then walk off into the bay and seek out their own sanctuary. The end.
